Kathy England brings a wealth of experience and compassion to her role as the Unity Gallery coordinator, having dedicated four decades to nursing, with the last two decades specializing as a neurology nurse practitioner at URMC. Throughout her tenure, Kathy provided unwavering care to individuals grappling with chronic, intractable epilepsy, embodying the ethos of empathy, and understanding.

 

Reflecting on the potential impact of the gallery, Kathy eloquently expresses its significance: "Introducing art that mirrors the diversity of our professional and artistic community into the workspace central to patient care presents an opportunity to perceive visions we might otherwise overlook. Art within this gallery will spark dialogues, expand awareness, and enable us to regard each patient, family member, provider, and employee as distinctive and esteemed individuals, enriching our connections with all." In her capacity as coordinator, Kathy orchestrates and supervises the curation and presentation of visual arts at the Unity Gallery, ensuring its offerings resonate with the ethos of inclusivity and appreciation for every individual's unique journey.
